About Me

My Skillset

Experienced recent doctoral graduate working on both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis with technical skills in SPSS, R, Qualtrics, NVivo, etc. My research centers around understanding and improving the lived experiences of justice-involved persons through evidence based practices related to police contact through re-entry services. I also specialize in gendered victimization, and racial and ethnic disparities, particularly in the juvenile justice setting.

I am detail-oriented, work well on a team, and am dedicated to producing high-quality, academically rigorous research!

Lecturer in the following courses: The Uncommon Course (DEIB), Research Methods for Criminal Justice, Juvenile Justice Systems, and Seminar in Criminal Justice.

My Goals

My current research focuses on evidence-based practices for reducing police use-of-force and supporting police-community relations youth and disadvantaged communities.

My other research interests lie primarily at the intersection of public health and criminal justice, particularly in community-based services and care for justice-involved persons with mental health needs or a substance use disorder. My previous experience also includes police training and education, juvenile justice policy, racial and ethnic disparities in justice, and gender-based victimization.

Upon completion of my doctorate, I am eager to begin working at a research-based institution dedicated to public access to information, producing research that improves justice and reduces the carceral state, and implementing of real-world practices to serve communities in need.

My Experience

In May 2024, I received my Ph.D in Criminal Justice at the University of New Haven.

I received my Bachelor's in Psychology at the University of New Haven in 2017 and my Master's in Forensic Psychology from the George Washington University in 2019. I also have experience as a Senior Research Assistant at the Brown University School of Public Health, Assistant for Special Projects on the Law Enforcement Outreach and Partnerships Team at the Anti-Defamation League, and Doctoral Research Fellow for the Tow Youth Justice Institute.

Dedicated, experienced, and goal-oriented.
